YMMV, but in practice — Thread is overkill in my case.
iot_maker: Absolutely agree — I had the exact problem and solved it by updating the driver. Took me a while to locate that configuration option.

Quick note: Zigbee routing no longer works in version 2024.6. Switch to Zigbee2MQTT now.
